This happened last year...These dang bugs are killing my squash. I want to kill them! I tried dish soap, any other suggestions? I really don't like this one! This is what is left of one of the plants These are their dang eggs that are on every leaf.
yes good ol squash bugs! We have them as well..they are nasty buggers! I think there is a dust you can put on the plant. Its not organic by any means. You can always call your local garden person...sometimes the university will have a department that can offer some advice. For me, i just live with them and plant lots of plants. I havent found anything yet. Let me know if you find the trick! :)
Heather - Use Sevin spray, it will kill those awful bugs. Sevin is in a red spray bottle and you can get it at home depot for sure. It is fine for food plants. GOOD LUCK!!
Wow! I'd forgotton all about those nasty creatures. By the time I realized they were actually doing damage, the Ortho Home Defense was too late. It killed the bugs, but the plants were already a gonner. We haven't had them in the last three or four years. So, there's hope.
That is a bummer..but sorry no suggestions from me. Actually I am quite impressed that you have a garden...Heather you are a sweet homemaker. You go girl!
