Things that happen

Just another broken bowl that Porter accidentally dropped.  I took a picture this to just remind me of how many things have broken lately.  When Porter breaks things (on accident of course), he always says, "It's OK mom, It was an accident." The saddest one lately was the Christmas candy jar.  Not that it broke necessarily, but because Porter was SO excited to get it out.  I told him what it was for and that we could get some candy and put it in the jar.  Well he took the jar, got his left over Halloween candy; put the candy in the jar; and then put the jar on the counter.  A couple days later I hear a BIG Crash in the kitchen.  I jumped out of bed to see what happened.  He had woke up and went right for the candy in the morning.  Well, he just slid it right off the counter and onto the ground.  (Poor little jar and Poor little Porter). His candy jar was gone.

THIS...hmm this is my phone.  WAS my phone...until the dog got to it.  No phone calls for at least a week or more until I got a new phone.  It also happened the weekend Barry was out of town with the scouts.  So I had no phone at all. Moral of the story...DON'T GET DOGS!

Porter and Max

This is Max's favorite spot to be. He climes right up there and will play.  Lately he takes the drum stick and smacks it against the bricks.

Porter got a sled for the snow.  Well there is no snow right now and so this is what works best.  He pulls Max around the house in it and Max just loves it!

Max's chariot.

I am surprised Max didn't fall out on this trip.  Porter got Max laughing.

Porter making Max Laugh. Porter loves to make Max laugh. He also likes to tease his brother a lot too.

Porter made a hut.  He made it two levels.  The bottom level was for his "work stuff" and the top level was were he "slept and ate."

Max looks huge here.  They love taking a bath together.  The other day Porter thought Max should be a fish.  He shoved Max's head down in the water so he could be a fish.  Very creative, however, Max I believe would rather be an air breathing animal.  After he came up he was choking on the water that was forced down his nose and mouth.  I think he would be better at being a dog and not a fish for a while.

Porter and his OCD

I have to write these down before I forget...I don't know how I will ever forget. I don't see an end in sight...but just in case. :)

Porter does NOT sleep with a pillow case on his pillow. Every time I put the pillow case on his pillow he takes it right off.  I have officially stopped trying.

He folds his blankets up to the size of a  8x10 folder.  It has to be perfect with no edges sticking out. It had to be his green blanket, but we have lost it.  Surprisingly this has not been a huge issue, because Max has a SUPER soft blanket that he is "willing" to sacrifice for.

Levis are against his religion.  Heaven forbid he ever wears a pair again.

Pants are an issue.  Last year he would wear "squishy pants."  This year we are struggling to find a pair of pants that don't "BUG" him.

He wears basketball shorts daily, because the other kind of shorts bug him.  He rotates between two different BYU shirts and occasionally he wears another shirt.

Winter time he still wears flip flops, shorts, and t-shirts.  He says this year he will wear snow pants (Is he going to wear these every day)?

Church is a HUGE issue.  His church pants "bug" him.  Lines everywhere (places you wouldn't even think) "bug" him.  We battle putting them on and as soon as church is over the shorts go right on.

SOCKS....every time he gets a pair of socks out (this is usually just on Sundays) they have to have NO LINES, and NO HOLES.  This is what he says, "no lines, no holes."  It is really hard to find socks without the sewn line at the top.  BUT we have deceived our little tiger and found some socks that have "NO LINES"  OH and it can't have words on them either...so hanes, stop advertising your socks ON YOUR SOCKS.

Shoe laces...Heaven forbid any part of a shoe lace touches his skin.  Well if that happens you might as well just close up for the night.  This is traumatic and must be dealt with immediately. Shoe laces are tied in a big old double knot and then shoved under the shoe laces; so not one ounce of the shoe lace will bounce around and touch him.

BIG breakthrough though is he doesn't wear PJs every second of the day.  He now just sleeps in the clothes he has on and calls them his pajamas.

WHERE does this come from?
