Porter and his OCD

I have to write these down before I forget...I don't know how I will ever forget. I don't see an end in sight...but just in case. :)

Porter does NOT sleep with a pillow case on his pillow. Every time I put the pillow case on his pillow he takes it right off.  I have officially stopped trying.

He folds his blankets up to the size of a  8x10 folder.  It has to be perfect with no edges sticking out. It had to be his green blanket, but we have lost it.  Surprisingly this has not been a huge issue, because Max has a SUPER soft blanket that he is "willing" to sacrifice for.

Levis are against his religion.  Heaven forbid he ever wears a pair again.

Pants are an issue.  Last year he would wear "squishy pants."  This year we are struggling to find a pair of pants that don't "BUG" him.

He wears basketball shorts daily, because the other kind of shorts bug him.  He rotates between two different BYU shirts and occasionally he wears another shirt.

Winter time he still wears flip flops, shorts, and t-shirts.  He says this year he will wear snow pants (Is he going to wear these every day)?

Church is a HUGE issue.  His church pants "bug" him.  Lines everywhere (places you wouldn't even think) "bug" him.  We battle putting them on and as soon as church is over the shorts go right on.

SOCKS....every time he gets a pair of socks out (this is usually just on Sundays) they have to have NO LINES, and NO HOLES.  This is what he says, "no lines, no holes."  It is really hard to find socks without the sewn line at the top.  BUT we have deceived our little tiger and found some socks that have "NO LINES"  OH and it can't have words on them either...so hanes, stop advertising your socks ON YOUR SOCKS.

Shoe laces...Heaven forbid any part of a shoe lace touches his skin.  Well if that happens you might as well just close up for the night.  This is traumatic and must be dealt with immediately. Shoe laces are tied in a big old double knot and then shoved under the shoe laces; so not one ounce of the shoe lace will bounce around and touch him.

BIG breakthrough though is he doesn't wear PJs every second of the day.  He now just sleeps in the clothes he has on and calls them his pajamas.

WHERE does this come from?

My Max and creative Porter

So Max just had to help me. In what way, I don't know.  BUT he had to help.  He had to help eat the cookies, oh ya, that is what he helped with.

He is just so fun to have around.

WAIT...IS THIS FUN???? HMMM

YEP, THIS IS MY MAX.  This was A DAY.  JUST A DAY.  Not a great day; not a happy day; but is was A day for the both of us.  We were all ready for bed time.  It couldn't come any faster that day!

BUT all days have humor it them right. (sweet max had just thrown out all these "sticks" all around my bathroom.  I left the mess and continued on with the day.  So cute little Porter brought me in my bathroom.  He told me that he had made something.  Oh was I in for a surprise.  Yes he had made me something indeed.  He had made a tampon ladder.  WOW, just amazing...WOW.  what more could I say.  It was breathtaking!  I look forward to many more days like this!

Cute little ants!

Camping trip up to Skyline

Barry, our driver...on the road.  Towing the trailer and the four wheelers. We borrowed my dads and then we rented one.  It was so much fun.

Porter, with Barry's glasses on.  He just gets so excited to go camping.

Cute Max

After a LONG four wheeling trip, we stopped and had lunch.  Everyone was just covered in dirt.

As usual Max it trying to eat Porter's cantaloupe.

Cute Porter

I love just how dirty his face is.

The dirt boys!

Smiles!

This is a great pic of how dirty Porter was.  I have no idea how the dirt just stuck there.  Every night he got a bath and the very next day/ next second, he was covered in dirt.  He was in heaven.

No, Porter does not have tan feet.

Barry fishing with Porter's pole.  Just love this pic.

Grandma hanging out with the grand kids.  So cute!

Grandpa Roberts had a fish on his fishing pole.  He was so nice and let Porter reel it in.

Porter and Barry cooking up the fish.  Porter helped Barry gut it and clean it up.  They seasoned it and threw it in the fire.

Porter ate the WHOLE fish.  It was so cute to see him eat his "first" fish.  He is also so TIRED!  Both Porter and Barry are exhausted.

Max doing the army crawl in the trailer.

This is how we drove the 4 wheeler.  I just strapped Max to me.  Almost every time he feel asleep.  It was so cute!

My view of Max as we were out.

Cute boys!

Porter and his gangsta pose.

Porter said, "okay everyone, it is time to stop for a snack."  We stopped and he immediately gets a granola bar out and chows it down.  I think he was a bit hungry.

August adventures

Max and Mom

This is my favorite.  For about a month Porter would label everything.  Although the only word he really writes by himself (without me telling him how to write it) is Porter.  So we just have labels of Porter all through the house. He did label our bedroom door; max's bedroom door; and his bedroom door (I was really glad about that because sometimes I get lost).  I finally took them down, but it sure was fun seeing those cute papers cut and taped all over the house.  Porter just loves to cut and write...oh and use TAPE!

Rylee got to stay with us for a couple of days.  It was fun to have her. Porter just couldn't get enough.  I love this picture because they are covering porter with sand WITH his towel on.  Very creative!

This is their hot tub.

Max eating...as usual.

Police picnic.  Taylor and Porter both made cars together.

Grandpa helping Porter

Grandpa and Max

Porter doesn't like face painting...but he loves it on his arm.  He covered this with a plastic bag every night he took a shower.  We FINALLY just had to wash it off...oh what a sad day.

Barry was at scout camp.  Porter drew our family with chalk on the driveway to welcome Barry home.  Well chance would have it that there was a  downpour right before he came home.

Cute Max! I just love this kid!

Muscle shirt and in and out food!  I think I love this kid too!
